Job Title: Temporary Accountant

Duration: Approximately 3.5 months
Start Date: Target start by April 13

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay Rate:
$25+ per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to support our team during a coverage period. This role is expected to begin by mid-April, allowing for a two-week training period prior to the employee’s leave. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and capable of handling a variety of accounting-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
  • Record daily financial transactions and monitor bank activity
  • Prepare ACH payments, automatic drafts, and weekly vendor check runs
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and review credit card statements
  • Manage sales tax payments and healthcare billing
  • Approve daily positive pay uploads and maintain customer deposit lists
  • Transfer assets between rental accounts as needed
Billing & Accounts Receivable
  • Manage accounts receivable for Sales, Rental, and Service Orders
  • Send monthly statements and maintain clear communication with customers
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure accurate billing
  • Process end-of-month credit card payments with management approval
Payroll Administration
  • Process weekly payroll using NetSuite SuitePeople Payroll
  • Manage employee timesheets for hourly, salaried, and commission staff
  • Prepare commission reports and process payments
  • Handle liability checks, pay stubs, and call-out checks
Human Resources Support
  • Process new hires, including document verification and profile setup
  • Maintain accurate employee records in NetSuite
  • Coordinate onboarding and separation with insurance providers
  • Ensure HR and payroll data is accurate and up to date
Additional Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with inventory manager on order fulfillment
  • Assist with asset management, including taxes and customer deposits
  • Support general administrative and accounting functions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior accounting experience required
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field highly preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening (no exceptions)
