Job Description: Shipping/Receiving Clerk 
 
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk ensures the smooth operation of warehouse logistics by managing the shipment and receipt of products, supplies, and materials. This role involves coordinating inventory movements, inspecting merchandise, maintaining records, and collaborating with team members to meet and exceed customer expectations.  
 
Responsibilities:
- Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.  
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.  
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sort and stock received items and handle outbound shipments.  
- Maintain accurate logs of daily inventory movements, including scanning and counting stock.  
- Prepare inbound logs and schedule or route outbound shipments.  
- Provide backup support for the shipping and receiving departments.  
- Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately, take messages, and handle walk-in traffic, including drivers.  
- Assist in the coordination of outbound transportation and warehousing functions for assigned accounts.  
- Complete receivers and other related documentation for warehouse use.  
 
Qualifications and Skills:  
- Strong organizational skills with a sense of time management and urgency.  
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.  
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong grammar proficiency.  
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.  
- Experience in scanning, sorting, receiving, stocking, stacking, pulling, packing, and loading inventory.  
- Proficient in computer systems and software, with keyboarding skills of 45–50 WPM.  
 
Education and Experience: 
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.  
- Experience working with drivers during shipment drop-off and pick-up.  
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics systems.  
 
The ideal candidate is customer-service focused, detail-oriented, and capable of learning proprietary systems and vendor capabilities. They will work under immediate supervision to ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
