Job Description

Senior Tax Accountant
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and reviews individual returns primarily with Schedule C’s and Schedule E’s.
  • Prepares and reviews partnership and corporation returns ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Performs tax research and tax projections, as requested.
  • Meets all deadlines regarding tax return reviews and projects.
  • Clearly communicates directly with clients on a daily basis.
  • Clearly communications with management on work status & client issues that arise.
  • Review of data entry and financials.
  • Calculation of sales and use taxes.
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Requirements:
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Five or more years of experience in public accounting.
  • Individual, partnership, and corporation return preparation experience.
  • Strong accounting software and excel skills.  Drake tax software preferred.
  • Must be organized, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to break down complex accounting topics into easy-to-understand information for clients.

  • Strong tax researching skills.
  • QuickBooks experience required.
  • Ability to observe and understand business processes, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
