Job Description

Paint Finish Technician – Steel Parts (First Shift)
Location: Near 12th Street, Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
Pay: $16.50 – $18.50/hr
We are seeking a Paint Finish Technician to support the finishing process for steel parts. This role involves surface preparation, paint application, and quality inspection to ensure a clean and durable finish on metal components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with coatings, tools, and production standards in a warehouse/shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare steel parts for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking, prepping surfaces)
  • Apply paint and coatings evenly to steel components
  • Inspect finished product for quality, coverage, and defects
  • Operate hand and power tools for metal prep and finishing support
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements
Requirements:
  • Previous paint finishing, powder coating, or industrial coating experience preferred
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday on 1st shift
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Shop/warehouse safety mindset
MIG Welder – Steel Parts (First Shift)
Location: Kansas City, KS (KCK)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
Pay: Competitive based on experience
We are hiring a MIG Welder to perform production and repair welding on steel parts in a shop environment. This is a first-shift role supporting steel fabrication through precise welding, blueprint interpretation, and safe operation of welding equipment. The ideal candidate has consistent MIG welding experience and a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG welding on steel components and structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
  • Weld steel parts for production, fabrication, and repair work
  • Use welding equipment safely and maintain tools as needed
  • Meet daily/weekly production quality and accuracy standards
  • Maintain compliance with all shop safety practices and PPE
Requirements:
  • Proven MIG welding experience (steel fabrication preferred)
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday on 1st shift
  • Proficiency with blueprints, measurements, and steel weld quality
  • Welding helmet, gloves, and steel-toed boots preferred
  • Strong reliability and commitment to long-term employment
