Medical Assistant

Nextaff of Sarasota has an immediate need for a Medical Assistant for a contract temporary assignment at a Primary Care physician practice in Venice, FL.  This is an 8-week assignment with a start date of ASAP and end date of 5/31/24. While a temporary position, it does have strong potential to become a permanent position! 

You will be responsible for a variety of patient care duties including assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Duties will include interviewing patients, documenting medical histories, measuring vital signs, administering injections, preparing & maintaining treatment rooms, entering patient data into EMR system and assisting in front desk coverage...in other words, you will be an important touchpoint for patients!

What We Need From You...
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant and experience with administering injections, patient check-in/out procedures is preferred (MA certification preferred)
  • Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Able to pass a background screening
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • You have experience using EMR systems, are familiar with general medical office procedures and medical terminology.
  • You are laser-focused on details and have lots of stories about providing great customer or patient experiences.
