Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant(MA), you will be working closely with our medical providers assisting them by helping patients on a daily basis. What You'll Be Doing:
- Must have at least one year of experience in medical billing and coding including the use of modifiers
- Preferred to have a history in surgical coding with the use of modifiers
- Experience with Insurance and Patient AR
- Experience in Payment Posting
- M-T 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Attendance is key
- Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
- Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- May document the provider's encounter with patients. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
What You'll Need to Have:
- High school diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Degree/Certification in Medical Assistance
- Two forms of Valid Identification
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-orientedInsurance10-hour
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Willing to undergo Criminal Background check and Drug Screen (REQUIRED)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
