Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant(MA), you will be working closely with our medical providers assisting them by helping patients on a daily basis. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who is going to come into the clinic everyday with a positive attitude and willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Must have at least one year of experience in medical billing and coding including the use of modifiers
• Preferred to have a history in surgical coding with the use of modifiers
• Experience with Insurance and Patient AR
• Experience in Payment Posting
• M-T 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Attendance is key
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.

What You'll Need to Have:

• High school diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Degree/Certification in Medical Assistance
• Two forms of Valid Identification
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service-orientedInsurance10-hour
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Willing to undergo Criminal Background check and Drug Screen (REQUIRED)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

• Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant (Required)
