Job Title: Loader / Manufacturing Production Worker / Material Handler
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Loader, Manufacturing Production Worker, or Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, handling production tasks, and ensuring smooth operations in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload steel, aluminum, and other metal materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, or pallet jacks.
Transport materials to designated areas within the facility for processing and distribution.
Assist in cutting, shaping, and processing metal products according to customer specifications.
Inspect materials for quality and report any defects or damages.
Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with company guidelines and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate inventory records and document material movements.
Follow all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing, preferably in the metals industry.
Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Capable of lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and working in a physically demanding environment.
Basic understanding of metal processing operations and equipment is a plus.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Work Environment & Conditions:
Standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
Exposure to high noise levels, heat, and cold depending on facility conditions.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
Potential for shift work, including nights and weekends, based on production needs.
