Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Location: Northern Lake County IL Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $35 – $45 per hour (based on experience) Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Electrician with a strong mechanical and electrical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with industrial equipment such as presses, grinders, CNC machines, motors, pumps, kilns, and hydraulic systems. This is a full-time, first-shift position offering excellent pay and benefits for a dependable and skilled professional with a solid work history. Key Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment. • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery including CNCs, hydraulic presses, grinders, and kilns. • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. • Maintain motors, pumps, control panels, sensors, and power distribution systems. • Work with PLCs and control wiring. • Ensure all work is performed safely and meets code requirements. • Collaborate with other maintenance and production staff to minimize downtime. • Keep detailed maintenance logs and update records in maintenance systems. Qualifications: • Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong electrical background. • Strong knowledge of: o CNC machinery o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems o Motors and pump systems o Kilns and high-heat equipment • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and control systems preferred. • Solid work history with proven reliability and strong work ethic. • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or journeyman license a plus.
