Medical Surgical LPN/LVN

Location: Huntington, WV
Schedule: 12 hour Nights 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Duration: 13 weeks 
Pay Package $1390 ($850 non taxable, $540 taxable)

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. As a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will support patient recovery, promote safety, and contribute to a high standard of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver routine nursing care including vital signs monitoring, personal hygiene assistance, and wound care.
  • Support patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and observe for any adverse reactions.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes or concerns to the supervising RN or physician.
  • Accurately document observations and care provided.
  • Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively regarding patient needs and clinical observations.
Qualifications:
  • Current LPN/LVN license in the state of West Virginia
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting preferred
  • BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in EMR systems and accurate documentation
