Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team on a part-time night schedule in Monroe, NC. This position plays a vital role in patient care by operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and supporting radiologists in a fast-paced, Level III trauma hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate high field strength MRI systems to capture diagnostic images of specific body parts
  • Position patients for imaging procedures using proper immobilization and safety techniques
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and obtain informed consent
  • Start IVs and administer contrast media according to protocol
  • Evaluate and label scans for technical quality and accuracy
  • Assist radiologists during procedures and contribute to developing new protocols
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures when not performing MRI
  • Schedule patients, manage clerical duties, and maintain accurate patient records
  • Train new technologists and student technologists as needed
  • Utilize McKesson PACS and/or AS400 systems to charge procedures and manage images
  • Support patient comfort, safety, and care throughout imaging procedures
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast administration
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT certification in MRI required
  • BLS certification required
  • IV certification, if applicable
Physical Requirements
  • Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, lift, and walk without physical restrictions

Schedule: Thursday & Friday | 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay Range: $32.45 – $40.58 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000
Relocation Bonus: Up to $5,000
Weekend Differential: Additional $8.00/hour for eligible weekend hours (Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:30 AM)
