Job Posting: Groundskeeper
Duties/Job Functions
  • Perform routine groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, hedge trimming, tree and shrub pruning, and planting flowers.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of outdoor spaces, such as parking lots, walkways, and entrances.
  • Inspect and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring optimal functionality and performing repairs as needed.
  • Clear outdoor areas of weeds, leaves, and debris to maintain a neat and orderly appearance.
  • Monitor and address pest and weed control, reporting any significant issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain and repair fences, gates, and other outdoor structures.
  • Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
  • Assist in winterizing facilities, including warehouses and homes.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams to coordinate tasks and optimize resources.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report maintenance and repair needs promptly to the supervisor.
General Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience as a groundskeeper or in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of groundskeeping techniques, including lawn care, plant maintenance, and irrigation systems.
  • Familiarity with safe operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining clean and visually appealing outdoor spaces.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to groundskeeping.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
