Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Entry-Mid Level Landscape Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and management of landscape projects, ensuring their successful completion from inception to final implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the field to gain valuable hands-on experience and grow their career in landscape design and project management.
$30 to $40 DOE
Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the design and development of landscape projects, including conceptualization, site analysis, and creation of detailed plans and drawings.
  • Collaborating with senior landscape designers and project managers to support project execution, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conducting site visits to gather information, assess project requirements, and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and budgets.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials and services.
  • Assisting in project scheduling, tracking progress, and identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Conducting research on best practices, materials, and emerging trends in landscape design, incorporating innovative ideas into project concepts.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, correspondence, and progress reports.
  • Assisting in client communication and presentations, providing updates on project status, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations on project sites.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or working towards a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field. Candidates in the final year of their degree may also be considered.
  • Strong passion for landscape design and project management, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite, and a willingness to expand technical skills.
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques related to landscape design.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
