Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Get PAID WEEKLY (every Friday) when you join our team as a Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.

This is a full-time position located at our food manufacturing plant in Lee's Summit, MO.

3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am) 5 - 6 days per week. Opportunity to work overtime!

Overtime Pay Schedule: 1.5x for hours over 8 in single shift, 1.5x Saturday's, 2.0x Sunday's

What you'll be doing:

Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and facilities

Performs general and preventative maintenance to assure minimal downtime

Maintains proper records and files

Promotes and exhibits strong personal and food safety practices. No shortcuts

Ensures timely and proper completion of work orders within a CMMS

Rebuilding gearboxes, reducers, motors, fans, conveyors, bearings, chains, etc.

Able to read and comprehend standard operating procedures, equipment manuals, schematics, etc.

Works as a self-starter and is required to find work when none has been given

Work with industrial electrical components to troubleshoot a wide range of voltages from 12vdc to 480vac

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in a Manufacturing Environment (preferably food)

2-year technical degree preferred (Electrical/Mechanical preferred)

The jobholder must be able to communicate effectively with machine operators, production supervisors, outside contractors, management, and other plant maintenance personnel. Mechanics must exercise considerable judgement and problem-solving skills when supervision is not available. Working conditions can vary from extremely hot/humid.
