Per Diem Dental Hygienists needed in Florida! Pay is $48 an hour

There will be multiple opportunities in North Miami Florida including- Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Bonita Springs, Hialeah, West Palm beach, Lauderhill, Jupiter, Plantation, Hollywood, Cooper, Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach, and Pembroke Pines.

Position Summary: Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range incomplexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Apply fluoride and protective sealants.
  • Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
  • Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
  • Record and review patient medical histories.
  • Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Order and keep track of inventory as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a medical/clinical environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones.
  • This job operates in a well-lighted, sterile environment.
  • Employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious disease.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; stand and/or sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood-borne pathogens and/or physical risks, which will require OSHA training.

  • Dental Hygienist: 1 year (Preferred)


License/Certification:

  • Registered Dental Hygienist (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Required)
  • Radiography Cert/Trans with Medical Rad: Radioprotection (Required)
