Division Accounting Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  1. Assign and audit the work of the accounting staff to develop, implement and/or maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems.
  2. Perform and oversee basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R, G/L, tax payments and inventory control)
  3. Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
  4. Perform all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis; prepare supporting schedules for financial statements preparation.
  5. Communicate with customers to address any past due invoices on their account and provide weekly status updates to management.
  6. Review, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and transactions in conjunction with preparing reports for management.
  7. Perform analysis of operations on a monthly basis as needed.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business-related field with emphasis in accounting
  2. CPA or MBA a plus
  3. Exceptional organization and time management skills
  4. Work independently.
  5. Multitask efficiently.
  6. High attention to details; ability to take directions, self-check and follow up on work.
  7. Basic data base experience, 10key by touch, and calculator
  8. Ability to enter accurate financial/numerical data.
  9. Analytical and critical problem-solving skills
  10. Basic knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, QuickBooks, and NetSuite would be ideal.
  11. Intermediate computer and typing skills.
  12. Ability to apply discretion, and trust with confidential company information.
Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Hours 
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This job will take place in a shared office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, but this position may require work outside of those hours to meet deadlines, etc.

Salary Range
$75,000 to $95,000 Depending on Experience/Education
