We are looking for a CNC Machinist Lathe at our Tualatin, OR location. Reviews work orders, drawings, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters to run parts according to customer blueprints and instructions with one of Tualatin’s friendliest machine shops. What You will Receive:
- Pay $22-26/hr. to Start DOE
- Payday every Friday
- Eligible for Overtime and Shift Differential
- Contract to hire
- Located in Tualatin, OR
- Second / Swing Shift
What You will Be Doing:
- Review work orders, drawings, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters to run parts according to customer blueprints and instructions
- Read and interpret CNC programs to maintain close tolerances (within +/- .0001)
- Set up lathe production equipment for junior CNC Lathe Machinists and conducts tests, analyses, and calibrates components
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut
- Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established company policy, safety procedures, and vendor standards
- Install, maintain, repair, rebuild, and operate a variety of lathe machining tools
What You will Need to Have:
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Experience in a precision machine shop environment
- Experience performing set-up and program prove-outs on CNC Lathe equipment
- Must know how to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Basic CNC program editing skills
- Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometry
- Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus
