Job Description

Special Inspections / CMT Technician Location: Cary, NC
Direct Hire opportunity for a full-time Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Client's Cary, NC testing and inspections group. Candidates at all experience levels will be considered with a salary commensurate with experience.  Paid training, certifications, and renewals are offered. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, materials testing, inspections, and daily field reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred certifications: NCDOT and American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Technician Level I, Nuclear Gauge User Certification, NICET Level 1 – Soils, NICET Level 1 – Concrete and NICET Level 1 – Asphalt preferred.
  • Have a basic understanding of plans/blueprints.
  • Be able to lift equipment to 80 lbs.
  • Be able to perform physical activities required of the testing procedures including squatting, bending, lifting, climbing, and traversing difficult terrain.
  • Be proficient at basic mathematical computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Have a willingness to perform work after regular business hours, occasional night work, and some weekends when necessary.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Hourly rate is based on experience.
  • Will train the right candidate (the company will pay for all certifications).
