Job Title: Bender
Reports To: Bend Lead / Shop Foreman
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
1st & 2nd shift openings
Pay $17/hr - $20/hr - Direct Hire

Job Overview
Set up and operate machine to bend structural shapes such as bars, rods, pipes and tubes; without supervision.

Responsibilities and Duties
•    Train to operate and setup to bender:
•    Identify differences in tube bender machines and which machines a specific part needs to run on
•    Identify correct tooling set required to make part, including identifying specific part size and the center line radius of the bend (ex: 2” OD X 2” CLR)
•    Identify components of tube bending process: Bend Die, Clamp Die, Pressure Die, Mandrel, & Wiper Die
•    Learn proper setup of bender tooling including alignment, clamp and pressure
•    Learn to tear down bender when starting a new production part
•    Bend Parts required for production
•    Perform quality Inspection of parts
•    Be able to operate at least one (1) CNC machine
•    All other duties as assigned

Computer Skills
Basic knowledge of computers

Education and or/experience
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:
•    Safety Glasses – ANSI Z87 – with side shields everywhere in the plant
•    Sturdy Work Shoes – hard sole / leather uppers (no tennis shoes unless designed to meet OSHA safety standards)
•    Hearing Protection
•    Gloves as necessary
