Manufacturing Warehouse Assembler
 
Job Summary
Nextaff of Overland Park is searching for a Warehouse Assembler dealing with large steel products. You will be assembling equipment within customer specifications. Basic assembly knowledge and Fabrication shop experience are beneficial.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: 
  • Blueprint reading 
  • Preparing material for shipment
  • Assisting in loading and unloading of commercial and customer trucks
  • Learning how to read and develop the ability to interpret drawings and specifications
  • Position requires self-motivated individual who can work independently but also performs well within teams or work groups
  • Successful applicant will be safety conscious and have good housekeeping practices
  • Welding and/or prior assembly experience a plus!
  • Other duties may be assigned within the scope of manufacturing facility operations 
 
Job Qualifications: 
  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States 
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Forklift experience required
  • Assembly and welding experience a plus
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and future random drug testing
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines

  • Basic math skills to include accurate use of a tape measure
  • Ability to work under temperature variations based on weather & production equipment 
  • Eagerness to learn new skills 
  • Accepting and following instructions from multiple supervisors
  • Collaboration with team members
  • Awareness of surroundings and basic occupational health and safety practices 
  • Flexibility and patience for adjusting to changing customer needs
  • Positive attitude
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Physically able to safely and consistently lift and pull material up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work inside and outside of a warehouse with extreme temperature fluctuations
