Nextaff of Northern Virginia
Location: Yorktown, VA
Position/ Type: Occupational therapist, Permanent, Full time
Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team! This position will support two facilities 19 miles apart, both offering memory care and assisted living services. Rate: Minimum $38 per hour (rates negotiable)
Hours per week: Monday to Friday, 32 hours per week, 8:00AM to 4:30PM (no weekend rotation), would share coverage between 2 rehab sites, 19 miles apart. 2 days at one, 3 days at the other
Qualifications:
● Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist (OT) therapy program
● Current state licensure
● Valid Driver’s license
● Must have at least 2 years of OT experience from Acute Care, SNF, Home Health, Assisted Living/Independent living, even Adult outpatient
● Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
● Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:
● Assess each patient and develop an appropriate treatment plan with measurable goals and time frames
● Collaborate and works well in team environment
● Address the whole patient as an individual. Design a program to restore, reinforce, and enhance our patients’ physical abilities
● Prepare and submit clinical and progress summaries based on identified and attained goals
● Ensure that other treating medical professionals have the necessary information to appropriately evaluate the patient
