Performs the tasks of a laser print operator, initiating jobs for production, or completing jobs in progress for various customers. Staging printed jobs in the production area to ensure a smooth transition into and flow through production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
Performs laser print functions by following daily job schedules.
Completes different tasks on multiple printers within assigned shift.
Keeps the work order system up-to-date at all times.
Ensures quality standards for laser print and finished labels are being met.
Helps the other members of the team meet production deadlines.
Places service calls with Xerox for printers.
Keeps accurate records of jobs printed within the log book on the printer.
Maintains housekeeping standards.
Performs distribution functions when needed.
Maintains the inventory levels of preprint items within the production area
Communicates any laser print production issues with the Lead, Supervisor or Manager of Department.
Abides with and performs lockout/tagout procedures.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.

Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and at least 2 years' previous laser print experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a manufacturing environment. Continuous, high to moderate levels of noise require hearing protection to be worn at all times. To ensure the associates' safety, when working in the manufacturing environment, safety glasses and any other applicable safety equipment are required. Exposure to chemicals, inks, and coatings requires the appropriate PPE to be worn when handling.

Position requires:
Standing over 2/3 of the time daily
Using hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time daily
Reaching with hands and arms
Lifting between 25 lbs and 50 lbs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time daily
Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for quality control standards
