Job Description

Nextaff of Sarasota has an immediate need for Certified Medical Assistants for full-time, contract-to-hire and temporary positions in Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton, FL. Working in a growing and fast-paced primary care practice, the Medical Assistant will see an average of 15-20 patients per day and be responsible for a variety of patient care duties including assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Duties may also include interviewing patients, documenting medical histories, measuring vital signs, venipuncture/administering injections, preparing & maintaining treatment rooms, entering patient data into EMR system and assisting in front desk coverage...in other words, you will be an important touchpoint for patients!

What We Need From You...
  • Minimum of 1 year of current experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Current Medical Assistant certification; ARMA certification preferred
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (or AHA accredited course)
  • Background check required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience using EMR systems, are familiar with general medical office procedures and medical terminology.
